This is a fun, cozy mystery set in England and has everything from kidnapping to murder to gambling addiction to one extreme case of sibling rivalry. While the plot of The Measby Murder Enquiry meanders just a bit, overall, I found the pacing of the book to be fast and that the book moved very quickly.

There was a good rhythm to the book that made it flow and very easy to read. I like Ivy's character so much and think she is a hoot, even at her grouchiest. Her romance with Roy is charming and funny. Who would believe that cantankerous Ivy would end up with an engagement ring on her finger in her golden years? There's wit and humor in the book, but it's not overdone and feels natural. This is not a book for serious mystery readers or for folks who take their mysteries seriously , but it is a fun cozy mystery that will have you chuckling many times.
