Abused as a child? Cruel but rich father? Twins separated at birth? Hero who buried his heart along with his dead fiance? He's A Greek Tycoon - arrogant, gorgeous, promiscuous, rich? Old girlfriend appears as soon as heroine's back is turned? The hero at least seemed to be consistent.

No, she's proud but stoic. She's determined to leave. No, she wants to stay. Nah - she'll call tomorrow. I enjoyed "An Arabian Marriage", and especially it's hero, Jaspar. I seriously liked "The Disobedient Mistress" and keep it in my re-read collection on the kindle. That one was the best in the series, I think - the plot holds together, the characters are basically consistent, and it's funny. I laughed out loud a few times reading it. Both of those are worth reading, but this one, not so much. This is the third book in the series and although I did not enjoy it as much as the first two books it was still a good and enjoyable book.
I liked the unusual story line and the fact that conflicts between the Hero and Heroine were resolved quickly without unnecessary suspense. It had a lot of twists and turns but I just didn't like the fact the heroine was so quick to forgive a father that was both emotionally and physically abusive and he never asked for her forgiveness or even showed the slightest form of remorse.
Overall a nice book. I really loved the H. He had a good heart. Mass Market Paperback Verified Purchase. First, it was a little too dark for me, almost to the point of being depressive! I didn't care for the immature nature of Ione- always trying to run away, and couldn't face up to anything or anyone!
She didn't even seem to want to do anything with her life, didn't seem to have any dreams, hopes, aspirations, nothing! She was like a teenager- agreed she was confined but hello, did she even get any form of education beyond the high school education we were told about? I have another Lynne Graham book and I'm pretty sure that will wipe away this one off my memory. Go Lynne Graham- I still love your books: This is a book that I plan to read again, someday. It is written in a series so the continuity is there from the other books, but the female lead character is a little off putting to me.
She didn't strike a sympathetic chord in me at all. However, I plan to keep the book. See all 18 reviews.

I think Cathy did a very good job of making the story work in our time. One thing I was a little curious about was how Lizzy in this adaptation was the one to fall in love first.
I wonder if the author was trying to make it all more like what we're used to in HP Listen, it was more of a 3. I wonder if the author was trying to make it all more like what we're used to in HP relationships, then again, we have books with smitten heroes suffering from unrequited love. I think Cathy did a good job though, I found it more palatable than The Forbidden Wife , the one based on Jane Eyre, and it also didn't hurt to picture our true Lizzy and Mr.
Darcy in any of the 3 sexy scenes. Apr 16, Laura's Book Addiction rated it really liked it Shelves: Louis the Mr Darcy of this story is everything Mr Darcy should be and swoon I want him to cook me a meal not because it would taste good but because it would be hot watching him make it. A modern version of Pride and Prejudice, not original. Oct 29, Nina added it. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Pride and Prejudice anyone? I couldn't shake the feeling when I started reading this book that I had read it before.
Turns out I had in the form of a novel called Pride and Prejudice. A serious rip- off if there ever was one. I didn't mind when Helen Fielding did it with Bridget Jones because it was really a modern day version of P and P and she made no hint to disguise it even calling one of her characters Darcy. However, this just bugged me. Don't get me wrong it's an enjoyable read but I am d Pride and Prejudice anyone?
