I am sure that this was a cathartic effort for Paul Csige and I am grateful that he has blessed us with this book.
I hope many others, especially those concerned about cultic influences, make a point to read it. I ran across this book by accident somehow and since one of the reviews made a comparison to "Catcher in the Rye" I thought I'd check it out. I have some experience with Scientology and my own daughter actually attended a summer school session at Delphi Academy the "Scientology school in the Northwest" which I suppose is what "Lamia" is supposed to be , so I was curious about what this modern J.
Salinger had to say.
I have to admit that I only read about 75 pages and skimmed some of the rest. From the first page my reaction was--wait a sec"Catcher in the Rye" His characterization of the study tech used at "Lamia" is just false--to say nothing of its being shallow.
The writing is amateurish, completely lacking any grace or style. In short it comes across like cheap propaganda and probably preys on the average person's misconceptions about Scientology in general and study "tech" in particular. Just an atrocious book.
I don't consider Scientology perfect and anyone is certainly free to check it out and come to their own conclusions about it. Just don't consider this book as a reliable source. In my opinion, it's rather just an extremely poorly-written waste of time. The only conclusion I can come to is that it's most likely a self-published propaganda piece written by someone with an axe to grind--but I'm not going waste any more time even checking that out. Into the wastebasket with it. See all 15 reviews.
